Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run came to an end by Sunderland before the international hiatus, but can the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' sole away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was still that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.

My son advised me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have got plenty of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's home record, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
