Disturbing Footage Reveals Moment Law Enforcement Get Knifed in Ambush

Both Sergeants Moments Before the Assailant Received Electric Shock

One police sergeant who rushed to the help of a fellow officer that got attacked by a knifeman received the Monarch's Honor for Valor.

Sergeant Tim Ansell grappled with twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he held a blade to the neck of his partner Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown initiated the assault as the law enforcement personnel and their partner, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a motorist following a vehicle incident in that location in summer 2023.

Brown attacked with blade both Sgt Ansell and Sergeant Foster before Police Constable Wolstencroft stopped him with a stun gun.

"Officer attacked," PC Wolstencroft stated over his communication device.

Bodyworn and dashboard camera video released by the police department showed Brown, that was clothed in dark clothing with a head covered, rush to Sergeant Foster from the rear with a blade outstretched.

He collided with the officer who lost balance and fell to the street, after which Sergeant Ansell stepped in and struggled to restrain him to the ground despite being continually attacked with the blade.

PC Wolstencroft deployed his electric weapon and sought a safe opportunity, concluding the confrontation to an finish.

Sgt Ansell can be heard to say: "I need something on my neck now, I got knifed in the neck."

Sergeant Ansell suffered multiple open wounds to his throat and further injuries to his limbs and body, whereas Sergeant Foster suffered slash wounds.

Authorities stated Sgt Foster used his bare hands to stem his fellow officer's blood loss prior to emergency responders came.

The new honor comes after the three officers were granted internal Valor Recognitions in late 2023 and the prestigious bravery honor from the local Police Federation in spring 2024.

They further earned a Area Bravery Award in mid-2024.

"The efforts of all three officers in the end rescued each other and ensured no bystanders endured any injuries."

Brown received a sentence to an indefinite hospital order in April 2024, as stated by authorities.
